Girls Aloud Kimberley Walsh has spoken about the group's plans for their upcoming 2013 reunion tour, admitting they have so many ideas in the pipeline.Pre-Order
The 'Sound Of The Underground' star told Capital FM that some of
their plans may not be physically possible as they look to put on a
spectacular live show for fans.
"You know what, we've got so many ideas for the tour but we just
need to work out if it's actually going to be physically possibly to do
some of them," she admitted. "We're not going to give any of them away
now."
The singer added that each member of the group is very much involved
and that she expects the next few months to be a lot of hard work.Capfm

The band announced their reunion tour alongside a greatest hits album earlier this month at a press conference in London.Their new single 'Something New' will be released on 18th November with the greatest hits record 'Ten' following on 26th November
The singer has also dismissed speculation that the band will never get
back together after their arena tour next year, stating the band will "never split-up".
Red is not only the best-selling album of this week, it's the best-selling album of any week since 2002, when Eminem's The Eminem Show made its debut with 1.322 million in sales.
Red actually beat expectations, selling 1.208 million copies, without any sales tricks such as Lady Gaga's 99-cent Amazon deal or Madonna's bundling of albums and concert tickets. My theory is that today's record industry contains exactly two stars who can sell millions of albums at a time – Taylor Swift and Adele. Which may be the ultimate legacy of the crippling MP3 revolution – that the world can have only a couple of Britney-circa-2000 stars at a time. My alternate theory is that for all the whining about the Internet, maybe there just haven't been that many great, culture-dominating, giant-pop-star records over the past decade.

A GOLDEN AGE OF INDIES?: Remember the good old days, in the Fifties and Sixties, when mom-and-pop record labels such as Sun, Motown, Stax and Chess regularly put out the best music despite competition with megacorporations such as Columbia and RCA? Could we be in another age like that? The chart statistics would certainly suggest it – the American Association of Independent Music reports the last five Number One albums have been Mumford and Sons' Babel (on tiny Glassnote Records, for three weeks this month), Jason Aldean's Night Train (on Broken Bow) and Swift's Red (on Big Machine, although that's a bit misleading since it has a distribution deal with giant Universal). A2IM calls this a "thrilling moment" and "just the beginning," which may be true, given major-label defections from Madonna to the Eagles in recent years – and don't forget that Adele's 21, the biggest album of the last few years, arrived on indie XL (through Sony).

Speaking
to NME, she recalls the chilling incident: "It came from one of my
fans. He said if I wasn’t his then I would be no one’s and he would come
and take me. I’m kind of scared he’s gonna make me into a lamp."
It's just one revelation shared by the outrageous singer in the latest issue of NME, out today (October 31).
Elsewhere, Ke$ha claims she drank blood from a human heart on stage in
Sidney. That was real," she says. "I did it on stage in Sydney. I think I
was hanging out with Alice Cooper too much. I was just really inspired
to do it. There wasn’t a very good reason behind it."
Ke$ha releases her next album, 'Warrior', later this month. She also has an autobiography in the works. According to the star, My Crazy Beautiful Life
will show a "not all glamorous" side to her life and go on sale on

rights groups are being sued in a new copyright infringement lawsuit
filed in California federal court.Download
The
claims come from Allyson Nichole Burnett, an Alabama-based singer
and songwriter who authored the 2010 song, "Ah, It's a Love Song."
In
Burnett's lawsuit, she says that Young, Matt Thiessen and Brian Lee
have copied a prominent motif of her song to create the pop hit
"Good Time," released by Owl City and Jepsen in June. The disputed
song reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also played
repeatedly during NBC's broadcast of the 2012 Summer Olympics,
according to reports, in shows like "90210," "Parks and Recreation"
and "The Office," and in trailer ads for the film "Hotel
Transylvania."
Jepsen is best known for her
chart-topping summer smash "Call Me Maybe," while Owl City's
"Fireflies" hit the No. 1 spot in late 2009.Billboard
Song
theft lawsuits are on the rise, but this one, authored by THR power
lawyer Neville Johnson, is filled with details about musicology and
contains other idiosyncrasies.
According to the
complaint, the hook in Burnett's song is a "unique vocal motif"
that is repeated throughout the song and "has a catchy pop vibe that
both draws people in and sticks in people's heads."
The
song, on Burnett's album "The Takeover," has been on sale in record
stores and on digital outlets since 2010 and the lawsuit says it
has also been licensed to MTV for the shows "The Hills" and
"Friendzone."
According to the complaint,
"Defendants' extensive access to 'Love Song' is sufficient to
trigger the 'inverse ration rule,' whereby a reduced standard of
proof of substantial similarity is required when a high degree of
access is shown. However, the substantial similarity between the
Original Motif and the Copied Motif... is striking under any
standard of proof."
The lawsuit then gets granular with respect to the alleged similarities of the two songs.
Burnett's
song is in the key of F while "Good Time" is in the key of E flat,
but other shared features are noted, including an identical pitch
sequence (5-3-5-3-2), melodic contour (down, up, down, down),
rhythmic construction (8th rest, 8th note, 8th note, 8th note, 8th
note, 8th rest, quarter note), timbre (textless vocals) and so
forth.

Burnett,
who sometimes performs as Ally "Cupcake" Burnett, is alleging
copyright infringement and playing up the alleged damage suffered.
She says in her complaint that "many consumers may incorrectly
assume that Burnett copied her own Original Motif from the
Infringing Songwriters due to the widespread popularity and
publication of 'Good Time.' Burnett's reputation as an independent
artist will be significantly damaged by such incorrect assumptions."
Further,
Burnett says she has "suffered emotional and psychological damage"
from fans asking why she copied the Jepsen-Owl City hit, although
there isn't any specific cause of action pinned to her distress.
Besides
the musicians named above, Universal Music Group, Songs Music
Publishing and Schoolboy Records are named as defendants.
Somewhat
unusually, the lawsuit also drags ASCAP and SESAC, two entitities
that collect performance royalties, into the dispute.
"Plaintiff
is entitled to a constructive trust over all profits and royalties
collected and held by the Royalty Distributors," says the lawsuit.
"Alternatively, the Royalty Distributors should be required to
interplead all profits and royalties collected and held by them into
the registry of this Court."

The Smiths
guitarist is set to release his debut LP, 'The Messenger' in 2013,
following a tour in January. After leaving The Smiths in 1987, Marr
played in a number of other bands, including The The, Modest Mouse and
The Cribs.
"It is late in the day to be making my debut," Marr says in this week's NME, which will hit newsstands from tomorrow and will also be available digitally.
"I didn't want to be in someone else's band at this point. In the past I
might have been reluctant to stand up front, and I've been lucky enough
to be in bands with great singers, so it wasn't necessary. But this is
my band now, and the frontman in my band has to play guitar. I do both."NME
Speaking about the rumours that his former band The Smiths are set to
reunite, he said: "Everybody seems to know more about a Smiths reunion
than I do. Those rumours are like a sport for everyone involved bar the
people who were in the group 30 years ago. But it's not happening."
Marr is also set to join grunge icons Dinosaur Jr for a special performance in New York this December to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the band's 1987 album 'You're Living All Over Me'.
The Wanted Siva Kaneswaran has said the group are "really excited" to release their new single 'I Found You'.
The track is released on Sunday (4th November) and the group have been spending the last week on a promotional tour around the UK.
"We're really excited about that," Siva told Capital FM about the song's release this weekend.
"We've been touring the country, getting to see all the fans and getting them involved in all the promotion."
Siva added that he and his bandmates were particularly keen to hear fans' reaction to this forthcoming single because it marked a change of direction for the group.
"We're really excited to see how people react to it and we're really looking forward to the release day," he said.

In it, two Jack Whites – one in a pale blue suit, one in a dark blue
suit – duel face-to-face in a rehearsal space, backed up by their
correspondingly-dressed bands. The track is the fourth single to be
taken from White's debut solo album, 'Blunderbuss'.
The seven-inch vinyl single will be available to pre-order from October
16 and will feature the B-side 'Blues On Two Trees'. It will be released

"This Kiss" trades the "Good Time" crew for a gaggle of partygoers, who flank Carly Rae as she breezes past the boys and enters the party she was born to rock. There is some dubious masquerading, an old-time photo setup, a dimly lit rock scene and a mysterious dude (played by Thomas McDonell) who catches the pop singer's eye. With a possible chart battle looming, Jesy revealed that Girls Aloud are not their rivals, instead insisting they see comparisons between Little Mix and the Something New hitmakers as a compliment.

at the tiny Village Underground venue. Glasgow Green was the scene of

The Stone Roses recently revealed that they will carry on playing together next year, announcing a series of shows at the Future Music Festival in Australia next March. NME

Coming onstage against the backdrop of a stormy desert highway, frontman Brandon Flowers - dressed in a black shirt and leather jacket - greeted the crowd by telling them: "It's been too long, Glasgow!" and launching into 'A Matter of Time' from new album 'Battle Born'.
The first half of the set was fairly heavy with new material, including 'Flesh and Bone' and new single 'Miss Atomic Bomb', though there were also big sing-along moments in the shape of 'Smile Like You Mean It' and 'Human', which was accompanied by an impressive lazer show.
Flowers was in a chatty mood throughout the night, introducing 'Dustland Fairytale' by telling the crowd that "We come from Las Vegas, Nevada, and it has a very distinct flavour. Where you come from, you have your own flavour, your own equation that makes you who you are.NME
"There are so many different ingredients that shape us," he added. "For me, it was the way my old man walked, the way he talked. It was the desert, it was the lay of the land. This song is about when something very important was taken out of my equation, and I had to look inside myself to see if there was a void or not."
The band's production was relatively stripped-back - at least compared to Muse, who got their UK tour underway here two nights ago - but fireworks were set off throughout the set, though even that spectacle was secondary to the run of hits that brought the show to a close, with 'Runaways', 'Read My Mind', 'Mr. Brightside' and a confetti-strewn 'All These Things That I've Done' played in rapid-fire succession to the delight of the crowd.
